Tamiya Bruiser

This was mt first Bruiser and it has gone through many changes. I purchased this Bruiser off ebay for a fair price. It was missing the body, but the rest of the truck was all there.

The beggining stages
After I got this truck home I cleaned it up and started looking for a original body. It didn't take long to find a body for the truck, and the one I found was painted a really bad yellow and baby blue color... I was able to strip the paint without much hassle. And the first paint job was primer black. The next upgrade were the tires. I was on the waiting list for the Imex g-hawg re-release tires and I was one of the first to get them.

Like most new bruiser owners I was searching ebay day and night, looking for any little part that might help my truck. I ended up winning a auction for a second body, the cost was around $50. Once I got the body in my hands I was quite happy with it. But with the price I paid, it would need some work. The first thing I did was remove the car window tint and eyebrow sticker from the winddow piece. Then I removed the few stickers that were on the body. The body was painted black with gold trim, it was rough though. And the bed had a decent sized crack which had been repaired with expoy. I ended up redoing the repair and making it look much better.

Now that I had two bodys I was able to paint them each different colors. For awhile they both sat in black primer. I finally decided on a color for the first body, desert tan with a white sleeper. The paint job was ok but I did make a few mistakes. And the other body I decided to leave in black primer, it just seemed to fit the truck well.

Aluminum goodies... Ahh yes, with time I had picked up quite a few aluminum parts for my Bruiser. The first being lower shock mounts. And then I picked up a set of jps rims from rc4wd.com, which took a wonderful polish. And the final little part was a aluminu steering block.

These are some of the earlier pictures of my Tamiya Bruiser. In the latter pictures you will noticed upgraded rims and tires.

These pictures are of my runner with a tan painted body on it. The body has since been stripped and repainted for one of my other trucks.

After all the snow melted at the local park, I took runner for a run through the muddy puddles. I even forged some water up to the top of the tires.

I took the Bruiser out for a short run in the snow after xmass. It needed some help but did not do to bad.
